Likelihood Arrests will be Referred to the DA

The tool below allows users to explore how an arrestee's age, sex and race might change the likelihood law enforcement referred an arrest to the district attorney's office for a charging decision. The logistic regression models can be viewed on a statewide or a county basis. The menu bar on the left allows the user to switch between regression models that show odds ratios for all arrests, arrests based on the category of offense committed, or sub-category for person and property crimes (only on a statewide level). The methodology, notes and category definitions can also be accessed from the menu bar on the left.

It might take a few moments for the tool to load, especially when clicking between screens or selecting options. If it appears blank, give it a little bit of time.
