Cooperation between Law Enforcement and Retailers leads to 4 Arrests

On January 16, 2015, the Menomonee Falls Police Department issued an alert through WCAN concerning the theft of a charitable contribution container holding about $100 in cash and baby formula from a CVS Pharmacy in Menomonee Falls. There were multiple suspects, one distracting the clerk while the other took the items. Included in the WCAN alert were photographs of the suspects, a partial vehicle description and a partial license plate. Loss prevention at a grocery store received the WCAN alert, recognized one of the suspects and the vehicle from an incident which occurred the month prior at their store in West Allis, also involving the theft of baby formula, and provided Menomonee Falls PD with the name of the suspect, the full license plate, and a complete vehicle description.

Menomonee Falls PD made contact with the known suspect and through further investigation determined the identity of the other suspects. As a result 4 arrests have been made including Theft, Miscellaneous Retail Theft, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, and 2 arrests for outstanding warrants. (both warrants were for the same defendant).
