AG-elect Kaul Announces Additional DOJ Appointees

MADISON -- Attorney General-elect Josh Kaul today announced two additional appointees. Kaul will promote two DOJ employees, Charlotte Gibson to lead Division of Legal Services and Tina Virgil to lead Division of Law Enforcement Services.

Charlotte Gibson -- Director of the Division of Legal Services

 

Gibson has been an Assistant Attorney General at the Department of Justice since 2001 and the director of the special litigation and appeals unit since 2011. Gibson graduated from the University of Michigan Law School, magna cum laude, in 1999 and received her bachelor's degree from Princeton University, summa cum laude, in 1990. She clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit for Judge Patrick Higginbotham.

 

Tina Virgil - Director of the Division of Law Enforcement Services

 

Virgil most recently served as Director of the Special Investigations Bureau, overseeing critical-incident response for officer-involved shootings. She also held the position of the State Fire Marshal. Virgil has been with the Wisconsin Department of Justice for 26 years.  She received her Bachelor of Science in criminal justice and psychology from Edgewood College and also graduated from Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command.
