Greetings from the Wisconsin Victim Witness Professionals!

Attached, please find registration information for the 32nd Annual Wisconsin Victim Witness Professional’s Conference, happening May 10 – 12, 2023 at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa – Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark in Lake Geneva, WI.  As always, the Board is working on some great presenters and we are hoping for another enlightening and educational conference.

We do have a few details to be aware of for the conference this year.  Please note the following deadlines:

  • Due to our contract with the hotel, registration for the conference must be made by April 21, 2023.  Therefore, please email, fax or mail your registration forms to Sue Burr by April 21, 2023 even if your county has not yet submitted the required fee.

  • Once again, the Board will be offering a reduced conference registration fee to those persons who submitted their membership by March 1, 2023.  If your membership was received by March 1st, the conference fee will be $75.  Anyone submitting their dues after March 1st, will be required to pay the full conference registration fee of $100 (+ $50 membership dues if not paid). Unfortunately, there will be no exceptions unless approved by the Board.  Non-members may still attend the conference for a fee of $160.  Please keep in mind that the registration fee includes all speaker fees, any conference materials, breakfasts and the Thursday luncheon to all conference attendees.

  • If you wish to order a vegetarian meal for the Thurs. luncheon, please check the box on the registration form.

  • Regarding the VW Panel presenting on Wednesday afternoon, please email the WVWP Consultants with any questions or topics you would like the panel to address.  wvwpconsult@gmail.com

  • Prices for food and other amenities are significantly higher than past years for this location.  Therefore, we will not be offering soda at the breaks.  Please feel free to bring your own soda if you’d like.

A block of rooms is being held at the Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark until April 09, 2023.  You must contact the hotel by April 09, 2023 to make your room reservation.  Rooms will be released after April 09, 2023

Lastly, for the 12th year in a row, enjoy the opportunity to support a charity or organization of our choice through a silent auction of great items!  Please consider donating an item for the auction and/or come ready to try your luck at bidding.  The recipient that has been chosen for the 2023 WVWP Community Service Project is New Beginnings.

The WVWP Professional Standards Committee will have training certificates of attendance available on Friday, May 12th at 12:00 p.m.  You must be present to receive your certificate.

Please remember to register early and contact myself or Sue Burr with any questions or concerns.  A draft agenda is attached – subject to change.

I hope to see everyone at the conference!
