Top Cops: Milwaukee Police find carjacking suspect, guns

Today's Top Cops are four Milwaukee Police Officers who found the suspects in a carjacking last night - and then some. Kudos to Milwaukee Police Sgt. Misty Torres, Officer Joe Serio, along with two other officers who are currently working in an undercover capacity so we can't name them. Here is their story:

Milwaukee Police arrested four suspects and recovered two guns after a carjacking about 8:40 p.m. last night. It all began when a 44-year-old Milwaukee woman called police  to report that she had just left a nearby business and was waiting by her car when a suspect, armed with a handgun, demanded the keys to her car, a 2010 Cadillac STS.The suspect then drove away from the scene in her car.

The woman's Cadillac STS was located around 10:25 p.m. near N. 20th & Center Streets, where officers saw a suspect enter a nearby house. The suspect, a 16-year-old Milwaukee teen, was arrested for armed robbery. Officers also arrested three other suspects inside the house, a 17-year-old male, a 21-year-old man, and a 37-year-old woman, on various warrants. The officers found two guns, a short barrel shotgun and a .22 Ruger semi-automatic that was used in the robbery, inside the home.

MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days for charges. We are grateful for the hard work of these officers in working to keep our streets safe.
