Officer Involved Death in Fox Crossing, Wis.

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) is investigating an officer involved death (OID) in the Village of Fox Crossing, Wis. that occurred the morning of Thursday, November 14, 2019.

 

A Fox Crossing police officer and a Neenah police officer responded to a call for a suicidal subject on the 900 block of Clover Street, Fox Crossing, Wis. Following an interaction with the subject both officers discharged their weapons, striking the subject. A weapon was found on the scene. Authorities performed lifesaving measures and the subject was transported to Thedacare Neenah where he died from his injuries.

 

No officers were injured during the incident.

 

DCI is leading this investigation, and is assisted by Wisconsin State Patrol, Wisconsin State Crime Lab, Menasha Police Department, Neenah Police Department and Fox Crossing Police Department. All involved law enforcement are fully cooperating with DCI during this investigation.

 

DCI is continuing to collect evidence and determine the facts of this incident and will turn over investigative reports to the Winnebago County District Attorney when the investigation concludes.
