DOJ Obtains Conviction of Child Predator in Oconto County

Jul 31 2017

MADISON, Wis. – On Friday, a jury found Rodney Enneper of Oconto guilty on 25 counts related to child sex crimes, including child enticement, child sexual assault, and possession of child pornography.

“Rodney Enneper will spend many years behind bars because of the collaboration between DOJ investigators, analysts, crime victim professionals, and attorneys,” said Attorney General Brad Schimel. “Justice was delivered to the victims of these crimes and to the Oconto community, who no longer have to fear Enneper.”

The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation received a referral from the Oconto Police Department in 2015, after three boys reported being sexually assaulted by Enneper. The victims reported being shown pornography by Enneper and DCI conducted a search of Enneper’s computer, finding hundreds of suspect images. During the course of the investigation, DCI learned Enneper sexually assaulted two other victims, as well. The Wisconsin Department of Justice Office of Crime Victim Services provided resources and services throughout the investigation and prosecution.

Assistant Attorney General Annie Jay represented the State of Wisconsin.

Mr. Enneper will be sentenced on October 19, 2017.
