Responding to Survivors with Disabilities

Presented by the Victim Advocacy Program of Disability Rights Wisconsin, this training will include a discussion on how victimization can have a different impact on a person with a disability, how the criminal justice system can both help and hinder survivors with disabilities, and barriers to receiving services and accessing the victim response team.   

 

Law enforcement, victim advocates, prosecutors, victim/witness specialists, SANE nurses, and other community responders are encouraged to attend.
