Assistance for County-based Victim/Witness Programs

The Victim/Witness Assistance Program provides training and technical assistance to county-based victim/witness programs in accordance with Chapter 950 of the Wisconsin Statutes. The program supports the standardization and professionalization of victim/witness services statewide.

Twice a year the Department offers reimbursement of a portion of the costs incurred by Chapter 950 victim/witness programs in providing services such as case progress and court appearance notification, restitution and compensation assistance, victim impact statement assistance, accompaniment to court, and social service referrals.

Questions can be directed to Chris Nolan (608) 267-5251.
