AG Van Hollen Unveils Heroin Prevention Campaign
AG Van Hollen has joined first responders to introduce a statewide public awareness campaign to prevent Heroin use. The multimedia campaign, The Fly Effect, was developed by the Wisconsin DOJ to educate teens, young adults and others about Heroin and the consequences – potentially deadly consequences -- of using this highly dangerous illegal drug.
Wisconsin DOJ Kicks off 2014 AMBER Alert Poster Contest
AG Van Hollen, shown on the right with 2013 AMBER Alert poster contest winner Gabriella Horman, encourages all Wisconsin 5th graders to create posters to “Bring Our Missing Children Home,” which is the theme of the 2014 National Missing Children’s Day poster competition. The poster created by this year’s state winner then will compete nationally.
AG Van Hollen, 41 Other AGs Call for Abuse-Deterrent Pain Killing Rx Drugs
AG Van Hollen, 41 other attorneys general sent a letter to the U.S. FDA, urging it to require makers of generic Rx drug pain relievers to develop tamper-resistant versions of their products.
