National Missing Children’s Day is May 25, 2013
As part of recognizing this important day, AG Van Hollen has teamed up with Facebook to educate young people about how to protect their privacy online. Pictured at right is this year’s winner of Wisconsin’s Missing Children’s Day Poster Contest, Gabriella Horman.

Parents of Fallen DCI Special Agent Accept DEA Honors
DCI Special Agent Jay Balchunas was honored Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at a ceremony at the DEA Museum in Arlington, VA. Agent Balchunas was shot on October 29, 2004, while working undercover in Milwaukee. A week later, he passed away at the age of 34. Jay’s parents received two awards recognizing his service and his sacrifice.

News Conference Held to Raise Awareness of Mediation Program
AG Van Hollen and the Metro Milwaukee Foreclosure Mediation Program highlighted the new process for homeowners seeking foreclosure mediation and announced the program’s statewide expansion during a news conference at the Milwaukee Co. Courthouse. Click here for photos.

Attorney General’s Summit on Public Safety
Attorney General Van Hollen has announced that registration is now open for the next public safety summit, “Patrolling the Cyber Playground,” which will be held June 11-13, 2013, in Wisconsin Dells. Click here for the agenda.
