AG Van Hollen and DATCP Secretary Brancel are joining the Federal Trade Commission in an effort to educate consumers about how to avoid travel and timeshare scams that can cost consumers thousands of dollars.

Parents of Fallen DCI Special Agent Accept DEA Honors
DCI Special Agent Jay Balchunas was honored Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at a ceremony at the DEA Museum in Arlington, VA. Agent Balchunas was shot on October 29, 2004, while working undercover in Milwaukee. A week later, he passed away at the age of 34. Jay’s parents received two awards recognizing his service and his sacrifice.

Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen Publishes Updated "Safe Schools" Manual
The DOJ’s 4th Edition of the “Safe Schools: Legal Resource Manual” includes a new chapter, “Bullying in School,” and updates to search and seizure, questioning of juveniles, the role of Police liaison officer, confidentiality of records, and child abuse investigations in school.
