Claims Deadline Approaching for Snackable Customers Entitled to Refunds Through AT&T Settlement

MADISON — Wisconsin  AT&T customers who had third-party charges placed on their AT&T telephone bills by entities formerly affiliated with Snackable Media, LLC and certain billing aggregators are entitled to obtain a refund of those charges if they make their claim on or before December 2, 2013.

In June, the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) filed a complaint that alleged that defendants formerly affiliated with Snackable Media, LLC (Snackable) marketed email or voicemail services to Wisconsin customers via Internet websites that offered discount coupons, sweepstakes or merchandise.  The complaint also alleged that, through agreements with billing aggregators, they placed unauthorized charges on Wisconsin customers’ telephone bills, in violation of Wis. Stat. §§ 100.195 or §100.207 and Wisconsin Administrative Code § ATCP123.  The case was referred to the DOJ by the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP).  Snackable business entities include: Email Discount Network LLC, Intelicom Messaging LLC, Email Discounts LLC, Douglas-Lambert Laboratories LLC d/b/a Orbit Telecom, Residential Email LLC, Voicemail Direct USA LLC, Conxtr LLC and Ezsavr LLC.  Click here for complaint.

Snackable has agreed to provide full refunds for all affected AT&T consumers as part of an earlier settlement with AT&T.  Consumers may submit claims until December 2, 2013 at the following link: http://www.attthirdpartybillingsettlement.com/claim.

Present and former Wisconsin AT&T consumers also are able to request a free billing summary from AT&T on or before December 2, 2013, to determine whether they were charged by entities affiliated with Snackable or other third parties during this time period.  For further information and to request a billing summary, visit the following link: http://www.attthirdpartybillingsettlement.com/billing.
