MADISON — Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced that on November 20, 2013, at a sentencing hearing in front of Milwaukee County Judge Glenn H. Yamahiro, Milwaukee County resident Montreal L. Freeman was sentenced to three years of initial confinement and one and a half years of extended supervision in the Wisconsin State Prison System. Freeman previously entered a plea of guilty to aiding a felon as a habitual criminal on September 10, 2013.
According to the Department of Justice criminal complaint Mr. Freeman assisted a co-defendant, Kenyatta Clincy, in fleeing the scene of a robbery. A copy of the criminal complaint is available here.
Chapter 950 victims witness services are being provided by the Wisconsin Department of Justice Office of Crime Victim Services. This matter was investigated by City of Milwaukee Police Department and the Milwaukee High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA). This case is being prosecuted by Assistant Attorney General Eric D. Défort.
