Special Agents from the Wisconsin Department of Justice Partner with the Milwaukee Police Department in Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Operation


Alejandro Arguello Arrested, Charged with Five Counts of Possession of Child Pornography


MADISON — On Tuesday, March 26, 2013, special agents from the Wisconsin Department of Justice – Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), with assistance from the Milwaukee Police Department, executed a search warrant at the home of Alejandro Arguello, located at 3707 South 17th Street in Milwaukee. 


According to the Criminal Complaint, agents seized a laptop computer from the residence.  A forensic review of images recovered from the seized laptop uncovered images consistent with child pornography, according to the complaint.  In an interview with agents, Arguello is quoted as saying he had “downloaded some things he shouldn’t have,” according to the complaint.     


On Monday, April 1, 2013, Arguello made his initial appearance.  He is charged with five counts of Possession of Child Pornography, a felony.  A preliminary hearing in this case is scheduled for April 10, 2013, at 8:30 am.


The Milwaukee Police Department is a member of Wisconsin's ICAC Task Force.  Questions concerning this case should be directed to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.  A defendant enjoys the presumption of innocence.  The prosecution must prove its allegations at trial beyond a reasonable doubt.
