Former Fox Lake Police Chief Patrick F. Lynch Arrested and Charged With Repeated Sexual Assault of a Child and Stalking


MADISON - Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced that on Wednesday December 22, 2010, attorneys for the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ), acting as special prosecutors for Dodge County filed a criminal complaint in Dodge County Circuit Court against former City of Fox Lake Police Chief Patrick F. Lynch alleging sexual assault against a child under the age of 13 and stalking charges. The allegations are felony charges.


The charges are the result of an investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Justice's Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and the Dodge County Sheriff's Department. “Investigation and prosecution of cases involving those who prey on children are a high priority of the Wisconsin Department of Justice,” said Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen.

Patrick Lynch was arrested by Special Agents from DCI on December 22, 2010. It is expected that Lynch will make an initial appearance on the charges in Dodge County Circuit Court on December, 23, 2010. A criminal complaint is a document alleging violation of the criminal law and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.


Assistant Attorney General Dennis R. Krueger is representing the state as a special prosecutor for Dodge County.
