Wisconsin ICAC Task Force Arrests Youth Camp Counselor

 

WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE AGENTS PARTNER WITH MADISON POLICE DEPARTMENT, DANE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE, MINNESOTA ICAC AND MOUNT PLEASANT (SOUTH CAROLINA) POLICE DEPARTMENT IN INTERNET CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN OPERATION THAT LEADS TO ARREST OF YOUTH CAMP COUNSELOR

 

Alexander R. Combs of Madison Arrested 

 

MADISON - On Thursday, July 30, 2009, Alexander Combs was interviewed as part of an ongoing child exploitation investigation originating in another state.  According to the criminal complaint, during a preview of the hard drive of Combs' computer, child pornography was recovered.

One laptop was seized.

 

The Madison Police Department and the Dane County Sheriff's Office, both members of Wisconsin's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, were part of the operation which was done in conjunction with Minnesota ICAC and the Mount Pleasant (South Carolina) Police Department. 

 

Combs has been volunteering as a youth counselor at a summer camp for several years. Combs was arrested and transported to the Dane County jail. He was charged with One Count of Possession of Child Pornography.

 

 

Combs' arraignment date has been scheduled for Monday, August 3, 2009.

A defendant enjoys the presumption of innocence. The prosecution must prove its allegations at trial beyond a reasonable doubt.
