WI DOJ Agents Partner With Lake Winnebago Area MEG Unit and Menasha Police Department in Internet Crimes Against Children Operation

 

Thomas C. Woulf of Menasha Arrested

 

MENASHA - On Thursday, July 16, 2009 agents from the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant at the residence of Thomas C. Woulf, at 821 John Street in the City of Menasha.

 

As a result of the search warrant execution, numerous items of evidentiary value were seized including a laptop computer, computer accessories and media, documents, and drug paraphernalia, along with ten live marijuana plants in a basement grow operation.

Upon a preview of a computer hard drive identified as the Apple iBook laptop computer of Woulf, sexually explicit images/videos of children (child pornography) were located.

 

According to the criminal complaint, Woulf stated that he would view pornography that was of children under the age of 18 because it was outside of Woulf's normal life. Woulf stated that it was a curiosity and he was inquisitive as to what other things were on the Internet.

 

Mr. Woulf was arrested and charged with 5 Counts of  Possession of Child Pornography.

A defendant enjoys the presumption of innocence. The prosecution must prove its allegations at trial beyond a reasonable doubt.
