MADISON - Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced today that Randall E. Funk, a Fond du Lac County resident, age 38, was ordered to serve seven years incarceration followed by 10 years of extended supervision following his pleas of no contest last month to charges of felony Child Enticement and misdemeanor Exposing Genitals to a Child. Fond du Lac County Circuit Court Judge Peter Grimm imposed and stayed a sentence of 9 months county jail time and one year of probation to be served consecutively for the misdemeanor Exposing Offense.
Funk's case was originally prosecuted by the district attorney's office; but upon the request of District Attorney Daniel Kaminsky, the Department of Justice reviewed Funk's case and agreed to take over the prosecution of the case. Kaminsky was Funk's attorney at the time he ran for and was elected district attorney in November of 2008.
Assistant Attorney General Tom Fallon represented the state in this case.
