David C. Hittle of Grafton Arrested
GRAFTON - On April 22, 2009, the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation executed a search warrant at the home of David C. Hittle. Hittle was arrested and charged with Use of a Computer to Facilitate a Child Sex Crime.
On February 27, March 19 and March 20, 2009, David C. Hittle engaged in sexually explicit Internet chat in a Yahoo chat room, using his home laptop, with a Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) undercover agent who Hittle believed to be an underage female.
During these conversations Hittle had agreed to meet the agent for sex and engaged in sexually explicit conversation. On several occasions Hittle also showed the agent a web cam of Hittle masturbating.
The search resulted in the discovery of a laptop, a pair of pants matching that in the video sent to the purported girl, and a web camera.
Hittle also admitted to sending the videos and engaging in the chats. Hittle initialed all the chats as his and did write out a written apology to the girl and her family.
Questions concerning this case should be directed towards the Ozaukee County District Attorney's Office.
A defendant enjoys the presumption of innocence. The prosecution must prove its allegations at trail beyond a reasonable doubt.
