Training and Standards Bureau (T&S)

The Training and Standards Bureau is the staff of the Law Enforcement Standards Board. It administers the programs of the Board for certification of law enforcement, jail and secure detention officers; of instructors and of academies. The Bureau also administers reimbursement of training expenses for participants in Standards Board programs and in Department of Justice training programs. In addition, it is the staff of the Standards Board's curriculum advisory committee and other advisory groups that assist the Board. It also coordinates and supports statewide training provided by the Department of Justice to the Wisconsin law enforcement community.

The Training and Standards Bureau provides additional on-line information at the Department's Law Enforcement website â€" www.wilenet.org. WILENET was designed to provide information of relevance to certified peace officers in Wisconsin in a password-protected environment. However, the site does include some public links that provide information on employment opportunities, law enforcement careers and Wisconsin law enforcement agencies.
