Weather Broadcasts

A computer monitors the National Weather Service Teletype network and when severe weather conditions occur, it transmits severe weather messages to TIME terminals.  This terminal notifies law enforcement agencies via the TIME System only when emergency or potential emergency conditions are forecast.  In the event the interface malfunctions, SPCC will send the messages using the WTHR mnemonic.

Any severe weather spotting or questions should be directed to the National Weather Service office in your area.
