Serial Number Edits

Minimum of one and maximum of 18 alphabetic and/or numeric characters. Single zero, run of zeros, single alpha, or run of alphas, indicating that the Security Serial Number is not known, cannot be used.  Group records cannot include more than 100 consecutive serial numbers. Alpha characters only cannot be used. Any alpha(s) and their position must be constant in any two numbers used to denote a sequence. Rightmost numerics in the two numbers must establish consecutive sequence. Cannot enter as group record when serial numbers end in alpha “O.”
