Security Date Edits

Minimum of four and maximum of nine alphabetic and numeric characters.

1.  The first character in the SDT/ Field can only be one of the following: B, M, P, 1 or 2.

2.  If the first character is “B ,“the rest of the SDT/ Field must be “LANK.”

3.  If the first character is “M” or “P,” the second through ninth characters must be all numeric and cannot be all zeros.

4.  If TYP/ is “BC, FB, or FR,” the first two characters in the SDT/ Field must be 19 or 20, followed by two numeric characters or two numeric and one alpha character. If TYP/ is GC, SC, UN, or NB, the SDT must be four numerics or 4 numerics and one alphabetic.

5.  If TYP/ is “FR,” the third and fourth characters in the SDT/ Field can only be one of the following: 28, 34, 50, 63, 69, 74, 76, 77, 81, 85, 88, 90, 93, 95 or 96.

6.  If TYP/ is “FR,” and the fifth character is used, the following applies:

1.  If TYP/ is “FR” and DEN/ is “2,” the SDT/ can contain only numeric “1976.”

2.  When “COUNTERFEIT” is the first item in the MIS/ Field, then edits to SDT/ do not apply.
