Reporting Method

The CIB developed and implemented a computer file to enable enforcement agencies to comply with ss. 165.84 and for the CIB to meet the mandates of 165.83. Agencies holding warrants for these offenses are required by s. 165.83 & 165.84 to make entries to the CIB Wanted Person File. The file referred to as “Warrant/Wanted Person,” meets the entry needs and more importantly, the inquiry needs of law enforcement personnel in the state. Agencies, as good operational policy, should enter to the file information on every valid warrant they hold, not just those mandated by the law.
