Query Warrant/Wanted Person

The general guideline to query a record is to use all the available data. A response from the warrant/wanted person file may be returned when a person is queried, or if vehicle information is included on the wanted person entry, when a vehicle is queried.  The following data items may be used in a query of the wanted person file:

•      Name, sex, race and date of birth

•      Social security number

•      Miscellaneous number

•      FBI criminal history record number

•      System identification number

•      Name and ORI case number

•      Driver’s license number

•      State identification number

•      NCIC number

Depending on the data combinations present, the message may query the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) Driver and/or Vehicle Files along with the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) Files.
