Probation/Parole File

The Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Division of Community Corrections supervises persons released on parole, extended supervision or those placed on probation. The Probation/Parole File provides information about persons currently under the supervision of the Division of Community Corrections. Depending on the circumstances and the seriousness of the crime, the judge or supervising agent can specify restrictions on the offender's activities. If an offender violates the conditions or rules, he or she may be incarcerated. This file was created to monitor and track people under Division of Community Corrections Supervision, and to provide access to this information for law enforcement. The NCIC provides for access to similar information called the Convicted Person on Supervised Release File.
