OAR/OWS – Act 84 Changes

•      OAR/OWS is always a minor violation for Habitual Traffic Offender (HTO) purposes.

•      Out of State convictions for OAR/OWS are not considered for HTO cases.

•      Wisconsin OAR/OWS convictions are assessed 3 points (effective 09-01-00, points are doubled for non, Instruction Permit or Probationary license types if second or subsequent convictions).

•      A person can request a re-calculation (review) of an existing Habitual Traffic Offender revocation case through 01-01-03. The case may not be released as a result of the review.
