Excessive Length

When the issuer’s name contains more than fifteen characters, the name should be abbreviated to fifteen characters. Abbreviations used in the financial pages of newspapers are acceptable and will serve as useful guidelines. In abbreviating words, use generally accepted abbreviations or contractions when feasible. In circumstances that involve names consisting of a large number of separate words, it may be desirable for purposes of recognition to utilize several letters of key words. To conserve space, words such as and, Assoc., Association, at, Co., Company, Corp., Corporation, Inc., Incorporated, Limited, of, or, the, etc., should not be included.
