Enter Parts

The following fields are mandatory to cause acceptance of a stolen boat entry into NCIC storage: Message Key, ORI, brand name, category, date of theft, agency case number and either serial number or owner applied number.  A description of the vehicle or boat part, including a literal description of the category must be placed in the MIS field.  The entry will be rejected if one of the mandatory fields is left unfilled.

Missing data obtained at a later time should be promptly added through the use of a “modify” message.
