Dissemination and Use of Data Obtained from the TIME
System
It is a violation of system
policy to obtain any data for personal reasons and selling data obtained from
the TIME System in strictly prohibited. It is permissible to prorate or share
the costs of your TIME operation by mutual agreement with other law
enforcement/criminal justice agencies for which service is provided. Information
contained in the various files available via the TIME System is for the use of
law enforcement and criminal justice professionals for law enforcement and
criminal justice purposes only. While some of the information contained in
these files may be available to the public under applicable state laws, each
TIME System agency is only authorized to release information from their own
files. If a member of the public wishes to obtain information from one of
the files they must contact the agency that owns the files, i.e., the Department
of Transportation for driver’s license information, the CIB for Wisconsin adult
criminal history information, etc.
