Cancel Protection Order/Injunction Record

Cancellation of a record is restricted to the agency that entered the record. Protection order/injunction file records that have been expunged or are determined to be inaccurate should be canceled. This type of message is to be used when the record is deemed inactive. A protection order/injunction file can only be cancelled by the originating agency (ORI). The following data items are required to cancel protection order/injunction record: name, system identification number, and case number. Once again, name must be exactly the same as it appears on the original entry, including spelling. When a POF record is canceled, any supplemental information appended to that record will be canceled automatically.
