The TIME Manual should be kept near the terminal for use by all operators. The Crime Information Bureau revises the manual as needed and agencies must provide for immediate inclusion of all revisions. The manual is a guide for all operators and must be referred to frequently. Official policy/procedures are contained within the manual.
All agencies will receive the TIME Newsletter quarterly, which will include changes/additions to the manual and system-related information. As the need arises statewide information broadcasts (INFO) are transmitted by TSCC. The CIB recommends that a specific person be assigned by the agency administrator the important function of maintaining system information, ensuring that all appropriate personnel are kept informed.
