The function of the TIME Control Center is to provide a central location for coordinating general information inquiries, problems, and user assistance. All trouble reports concerning the general system or terminal must be referred to the Control Center. If a TIME terminal operator encounters a problem or needs assistance, the TIME terminal operator may contact the Control Center by administrative message to the Control Center terminal (TSCC) or telephone at 608/266-7633. There will be a system operator on duty at all times to serve the users of the TIME System.
A partial list of the duties of the TIME System Control Center are as follows:
1. Assisting TIME users on the proper usage of the system.
2. Answering questions relating to manual and format usage.
3. Researching line and terminal problems.
4. Monitoring and sending statewide and nationwide APBD’s and information broadcasts.
5. Monitoring all area broadcasts.
6. Placing in-state and out-of-state locates.
7. Acting as the control terminal for NCIC and NLETS.
8. Monitoring and directing of all NCIC error messages.
9. Forwarding of all serious error notices.
10. Collection point for statewide hit statistics.
11. Collecting of all traffic and other system statistics.
12. Monitoring of all temporary wants reference exceeding the retention period.
13. Producing file validations.
14. Producing and maintaining other assorted justice related computer programs.
