When an individual is arrested or taken into custody for a parole or probation violation at the request of a probation/parole officer, the charge block must properly reflect the specific literal charge, statute number and NCIC code, e.g.:
• Parole Violation, 304.06, NCIC 5011
• Probation Violation, 973.10, NCIC 5012
Do not indicate the offense for which the person is on probation/parole or the offense which necessarily caused the violation, (the offense that caused the violation should be processed as a separate arrest transaction, if that was the case). The final disposition area should indicate that the individual was "turned over to" probation/parole.
FINAL DISPOSITION REPORTS ARE NOT REQUIRED FOR PROBATION/PAROLE ARRESTS, THE FINAL DISPOSITION ON THESE ARRESTS IS ALWAYS, "TURNED OVER TO (TOT) PROBATION/PAROLE."
