Ed Wall, Administrator
Ed Wall is Administrator of the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation.  He leads a division of professionals who are responsible for investigating crimes that are statewide in nature or importance.  DCI special agents and civilian staff work closely with local officials to investigate and prosecute crimes involving homicide, arson, financial crimes, illegal gaming, computer and white collar crimes, drug trafficking, government corruption and crimes against children.  In addition, the Division also performs special investigations requested by the Governor or the Legislature. 
Wall earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Management from Excelsior College and has spent his entire professional career in emergency public services.
 
Wall began his law enforcement career as a police officer in Meriden, Connecticut before being appointed as a State Trooper in New Hampshire. In 1999 he moved his family to Wisconsin where he was appointed as a Special Agent with the Wisconsin Department of Justice. During his law enforcement career he has worked in uniform patrol, undercover narcotics, technical services, special operations and intelligence. He served as Special Agent in Charge of the DCI Investigative Services Bureau with the Wisconsin Department of Justice when he was appointed by the Governor as Administrator of the Division of Emergency Management. In April, 2010 he returned to DCI when appointed by Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen as division administrator.
 Wall holds numerous leadership positions with state and national boards dealing with law enforcement training, national security, intelligence and law enforcement executive related functions.
