Domestic Abuse Incident Reports

Back to What We Do

The Office of Crime Victim Services collects data for the Domestic Abuse Incident Report from district attorneys' offices in each county throughout Wisconsin. Under Wis. Statutes 968.075 (9), each county is required to provide data regarding domestic abuse incidents to the Department of Justice. Department makes this data public in its annual Domestic Abuse Incident Report.

The Wisconsin Domestic Abuse Incident Report was first published in 1991. Domestic violence statistics have been collected from counties and published in the Report for every year since 1989. The Wisconsin Domestic Abuse Incident Report has evolved over the years to include a greater range of statistical information.
